A next-generation orbital life-science facility enabling plug-and-play microgravity research with automated control, parallel experiment capability, and seamless continuation beyond the ISS.
commercial leo destination
With the ScienceTaxi BioHub facility, Yuri provides a life-science incubator for microgravity investigations in low Earth orbit that is fully compatible with our complete ScienceShell and ScienceBox (1U–2U) portfolio. Building on flight heritage from the International Space Station, the advanced ScienceTaxi platform enables a seamless continuation of research initiated on the ISS. The system has been operated under the STaARS Space Act Agreement with NASA as part of NASA’s National Laboratory on the ISS, and now brings that proven capability to HAVEN-1. Key features include:
remote Experiment control
remote access to generated data
variable speed centrifuge control
temperature control
ScienceTaxi
With ScienceTaxi BioHub, customers can run plug-and-play research in orbit using our automated, highly modular ScienceShell bioreactors, a library of flight-ready experiment containers and millifluidic InnerShells, that cover virtually all modern molecular, cellular, and organismal investigations in biomedical and biotechnological fields. The facility combines three microgravity racks with a variable-speed centrifuge, delivering both true microgravity and programmable gravity references in one system. Each μg-rack row and the centrifuge bay can host up to six ScienceShells equipped with the required Inserts, all orchestrated by the Facility Controllers, which automate timelines, environmental set points, and data acquisition. This architecture enables multiple studies to run in parallel, supports direct comparisons between microgravity and Earth-like or reduced-gravity conditions, and delivers reliable results with minimal crew time - bringing laboratorygrade life science to low Earth orbit in a simple, repeatable way.
